Get to Know Dr. Hofmann

Hello! I’m a small animal veterinarian in San Diego, California. I love learning all I can about my patients and for my patients. Helping my clients make the most of their relationship with their pets is my favorite part of the job!

I also enjoy sharing fun photos and interesting cases, cool products that I love for my own pets, and new or often-asked information that can benefit all of us who are owned by our furry friends.

Vet School

My journey from stay-at-home mother of four to vet school graduate was convoluted and nothing short of an adventure. But I’m not sure I would’ve had it any other way. I like to say I was on the “better late than never” plan.

Soooo, despite my advanced age, I graduated in 2015 from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. The kids got to come with me for parts of my schooling, and they certainly experienced a different way of life while living on a Caribbean island!

What now?

Now we’re all back in Southern California, and happy to be settling in for the long haul! I’m purchasing my first practice, a lovely small animal hospital in Oceanside. This is pretty much the reason I went to vet school in the first place! Come along and join me as I meet my new clients, learn more stuff, find amazing products, and have tons of fun. (Also, I’ll inevitably be adopting bushels and pecks of animals. So there’s that . . .)
